A Fluffernutter is a sandwich made with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff on white bread. It's so popular in Massachusetts that in 2006 State Representative Kathi-Anne Reinstein of Revere submitted a bill to the Massachusetts legislature to make the Fluffernutter the official state sandwich. In 1917, marshmallow fluff was invented by Archibald Query in Somerville, Massachusetts. Today, marshmallow fluff is made by Durkee-Mower Inc in East Lynn, Massachusetts. Mr Query, who lived at 106 Bromfield Road, was known for selling his product door-to-door. You can celebrate marshmallow fluff on the streets of Somerville (Somerville Ave and Union Square) at the annual Fluff Festival. - AsNotedIn.
