Root and Hollister was the Landscape Architectural practice of University of Illinois instructor, Ralph Rodney Root (1884-1964) and horticulturalist, Noble P Hollister. The company was established in 1918 and often collaborated with David Adler and Robert Work. Designs include the Pike Estate, 950 Lake Rd(1917), Elawas Farm (1916), Crab Tree Farm, (early 1920s) and the Campbell estate at 2000 Knollwood Rd (1930). - AsNotedIn
