Historic District of Old Quebec is surrounded by ramparts, complete with bastions and gates. The Upper Town includes churches, the convents of the Jesuits (1625), the Recolletes (1629) and the Ursulines (1642), the Seminary (1663), the Dauphine Redoubt, the Citadel and Chateau Frontenac.
