Boston Post Road

The Boston Post Road was a colonial era road that ran from Boston in Massachusetts to New York City on the island of Manhattan. The highroad had three major routes that converged at Roxbury, Massachusetts: the Lower Post Road along the Long Island Sound through Providence, the Upper Boston Post Road from New Haven through Springfield and the Middle Post Road, which diverges from the Upper Road in Hartford and runs east to Boston by way of Pomfret. - AsNotedIn
