1826/00/00 James Megdwan sells land to John McCrecken and his wife, Emily Watt McCracken, who emigrated from County Derry in Ireland to America in 1801, settling in Lexington in 1811.
1835/00/00 A modest brick farmhouse is built in the late 1830s when the Federal style of architecture is being pushed aside by the Greek Revival style. The main block of the house reflects this transition while the west wing interior shows the Greek Revival style.
1865/00/00 G D Wilgus Owner John and Emily McCracken sell 21 plus acres to Garrett Wilgus.
1870/00/00 The facade of the Wiigus house is made more fashionable, possibly in the early 1870s, with the addition of a gable with trefoil window, bracketed roof and Gothic porch with decorative spandrels.
