1796/04/30 | Financed by the sale of the pews, the Meetinghouse is raised by 40 proprietors on Byram's Hill. Composed of 5 bays with 2 rows of windows, 10 on each side, 4 windows across the end and 5 across the facade, all the original window are boarded up. | |||||
1797/06/00 | The Baptist Religious society of North Yarmouth and Freeport is incorporated by the general court of Massachusetts. Belonged to the Bowdoinham Association, they are one of the first congregations to build their own house of worship. | |||||
1825/00/00 | Samuel Melcher | Architect | Extensive exterior Gothic style alterations are made, probably by Samuel Melcher. The original steeple is replaced with an exceedingly unusual, conical and flush-boarded spire. The facade of the building features pointed windows with interlacing muntins. | |||
