1901/00/00 C A P Turner Engineer Construction begins on the Duluth Aerial Bridge. Connecting the city of Duluth with Minnesota Point by spanning the Duluth Ship Canal.
1905/00/00 Thomas F McGibray Supervising Engineer The Duluth Aerial Bridge is completed by Modern Steel Structural Company. The aerial bridge has a gondola car suspended by an inverted steel tower (lost) from the underside of the truss.
1929/00/00 Aerial Bridge is modified by adding an elevating (lift) roadway to replace the traversing platform, lengthening the steel towers, and incorporating new structural support within the old towers to carry the counterweight roadway.
