The center section of the Farmington Country Club clubhouse is a two-story pre-Revolution farmhouse, built for Francis Jerdone. The 1802 octagonal east wing was designed by Thomas Jefferson. Although, altered many times, the octagonal room was restored in 1929. In 1976, it was refurbished to Jefferson's vision under the direction of University of Virginia Professor of Jeffersonian Architecture, Dr Frederick D Nichols - AsNotedIn
