1689/11/15 Col John West Owner Col John West makes his last will and testament. Part of his estate includes Elsing Green, a gift West had received from the Pamunkey Tribe.
1690/00/00 For many years Elsing Green is the home of William Burnett Brown who probably built the structure, circa 1690, which now serves as the east dependency of the main house.
1691/00/00 Col Nathaniel West Owner Elsing Green passes to Col John West's three sons, John West III, Thomas West and Nathaniel West.
1719/00/00 Col William A Dandridge Home The West family conveys Elsing Green Plantation to Captain William Dandridge.
1727/00/00 Mary Dandridge Campbell Born Unity West Dandridge, wife of William Dandridge, gives birth to a daughter, Mary West, in the Colony of Virginia.

1760/00/00 Carter Braxton Home Upon his return from Europe, Carter Braxton moves into Elsing Green. He will live here until 1767.
1800/00/00 About 1800, a fire destroys the interior of Elsing Green. The exteriors survive.
1935/00/00 Edward F Sinnott Architect In the 1930s, Mr and Mrs Beverley D Causey hire architect Edward F Sinnott to restore the original roof pitch and install 18th century-style woodwork.
1949/00/00 Edgar Rivers Lafferty Jr buys Elsing Green and begins developing the plantation into a model farm and wildlife preserve.
