1876/00/00 Alfred H Thorp Architect The Coogan is built at 776 6th Avenue at 26th St, NYC, for use by the Racquet Court Club. The arcaded, tripartite facaded design by Alfred H Thorpe, of the type later expounded by Louis Sullivan, was razed in 1999.
1876/00/00 The Racquet Court Club merges with the Racquet and Tennis Club.
1918/09/07 William Symmes Richardson Architect Racquet and Tennis Club's third location is completed on Park Avenue.
1918/09/07 McKim, Mead and White Architect Racquet and Tennis Club's third location is completed on Park Avenue.
1922/00/00 Rene LaMontagne host a bachelor party and is arrested for selling 500 cases of gin, 16000 gallons of rye, 316 cases of scotch and 9000 gallons of wine (it was Prohibition).
1978/00/00 Fisher Brothers, owners of Park Avenue Plaza (midblock building behind the Racquet Club), pay $5 million to the Racquet Club for their air rights above the Club so they won't build a hotel and block the Park Avenue Plaza's views.
