1851/00/00 Samuel Sloan (architect) Architect Riverton Improvement Company, 10 gentlemen form Philadelphia, hire Samuel Sloan to develop a plan for a village of summer homes on the New Jersey bank of the Delaware River. Modern streets are lit with 52 original Victorian gaslights and 28 reproductions. Invention of Gas Lighting
1864/00/00 Ezra Lippincott House is built at 303 Bank Avenue.
1865/00/00 William Thomas House is built at 109 Bank Avenue.
1894/06/00 Theodore Roosevelt Work Theodore Roosevelt lectures for the ASUE during two summer seasons at the Riverton Lyceum in 1893 and 1894. He stayed with Samuel Allen, a Pennsylvania Railroad executive who lived at 404 Lippincott Ave during an unknown visit.
