Prehistoric Rock Art Sites in Siega Verde are a group of Paleolithic art sites carved over several 1000 years along the Agueda river in western Spain. Representations of about 440 animal figures contribute to the most remarkable open-air ensemble of Paleolithic art on the Iberian Peninsula. The sites were added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list for its provide the best illustration of the iconographic themes and organization of Paleolithic rock art, using the same modes of expression in caves and in the open air, thus contributing to a greater understanding of this artistic phenomenon.
