A house is built for Abraham Tilton Jr. The 12-by-38-foot keeping room still has the original 18C wood floors, with pit-sawn pine planks 20 inches wide and 22 feet long.

After a fire destroys much of its original frame, the owner rebuilds the home adhering to authentic 18C craftsmanship using salvage from the structure and replacing the rest with materials salvaged from 18C and 19C structures throughout New England.
