San Francisco's Postcard Row
San Francisco's Painted Ladies were built between 1892 and 1896 by developer Matthew Kavanaugh. They are very recognizable as the picture perfect view of Victorian San Francisco with the downtown skyline as a backdrop. The houses have been used in about 70 ads, movies and television shows. 722 Steiner was used in Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), staring Donald Sutherland, and Junior (1994) with future California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Besides the classic glamour shot use, the homes where featured in the opening montage of the 1980s-1990s television sit-com Full House. The Full House fictional Tanner family home is 1709 Broderick, between Bush St and Pine St, in Lower Pacific Heights. - AsNotedIn
