Transscandinanavian Igneous Belt
Transscandinanavian Igneous Belt (TIB) is a physiographic province of the European continent which contains a bedrock of largely undeformed granitoids and associated porphyries formed in at least three different episodes between c 1850 and 1650 Ma ago. Exposed from Smaland in southern Sweden through Varmland and western Dalarna, TIB extends under much of the Caledonian mountains up to northern Scandinavia. - AsNotedIn
