Jean Antoine Mazin (1679-1740) was the architect and engineer for the arsenal of King Louis XV. Mr Mazin is notable for three buildings constructed in Paris from 1720 to 1730: Hall Charost (British Embassy, 1814), the Hotel Matignon (residence of the Prime Minister since 1935) and his own mansion at 8 rue d'Anjou. - AsNotedIn
