Dostoevsky Apartment, number 11 on the 2nd floor (balcony on corner), was the home of Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Located on Kaznacheiskaia ulitsa, formerly Malaia meshchanskaia ulitsa (Little Bourgeois St) at the corner of Stoliarnyi pereulok. During Dostoevksy's time, Stoliarnyi pereulok (Carpenter's Lane), formerly known as Ulitsa Przheval'skogo) was a working-class neighborhood where Raskolnikov's (Crime and Punishment) apartment building is located.
