Thomas W Jones House
- Address: 34 Warren St
The Thomas W Jones House is Stoneham's finest example of the Second Empire style, preserving all of its original features as well as its carriage house intact. Constructed in 1878, it is a full two story house with a T-shaped plan, occupying a corner lot just behind Main Street. Stylistic features include open bracketed porches, a bracketed cornice, gable screens, paneled pilasters and oriel windows. The house rests on a granite foundation, is covered with clapboards and is enclosed by a patterned slate roof. Windows contain 2-2 sash and the entry contains a double door. This residence is representative of the homes of the second generation of shoe manufacturers in Stoneham.
