1812/03/16 Thomas Sim Lee Father of the Bride Eliza Lee marries Outerbridge Horsey. Thomas Sim Lee builds a brick residence for his daughter Eliza on the occasion of her marriage to Outerbridge Horsey. Only remnants remain of the original structure.
1840/00/00 Outerbridge Horsey Home A brick residence is built on the site of the earlier house. Now the dining room wing, the original dwelling may have faced south with a central hall flanked by a parlor on each side.
1842/06/09 Outerbridge Horsey Died Outerbridge Horsey dies at the Needwood estate near Burkittsville in Frederick County, Maryland. Mr Horsey is buried in St John's Cemetery at Petersville, Maryland.
1850/00/00 Outerbridge Horsey, son of Eliza Lee and Outerbridge Horsey, establishes a distillery (lost). The site of the distillery is north of the tenant house and is marked by a pile of large stones.
1862/09/12 Confederate troops burn down the Horsey distillery during the Battle of South Mountain. The Rebels reportedly lost the position, in part, due to drinking too much whiskey. Whiskey Battle of South Mountain
1870/00/00 After touring distilleries in Europe, Outerbridge Horsey rebuilds his distillery (lost).
1875/00/00 Stick Style addition is built at a cost $10,000. Horsey assembled materials for three years and the work was completed by local builders. No architect was employed.
1880/00/00 Horsey's whisky is aged at the distillery for several years, then sent on a sea voyage around Cape Horn to the West Coast and aged several more years before being shipped back by sea or railroad to Maryland where the aging continues. Whiskey
1900/00/00 Luther C Pry Work By 1900, Luther C Pry is an employee at the Horsey whiskey distillery (lost). Pry will name his son "Outerbridge" in honor of the operators, the Outerbridge Horseys.
