1869/00/00 Ludwig II of Bavaria Home In 1869 Ludwig II inherits the forester's house and begins rebuiding it as the "Royal Lodge".
1870/00/00 A wing with a single axis is added to the Royal Lodge under the supervision of the court building director Georg Dollmann and the original plans for the building are substantially revised.
1871/04/00 In the Spring, a second wing is built to match the first extension, with a bedroom forming the connection between the two wings, making the Royal Lodge superfluous.
1873/02/00 Ludwig II of Bavaria Home King Ludwig II approves a plan to face the wooden buildings with stone and add a cross-shaped complex of new roofs.
1874/01/20 Ludwig II of Bavaria Home King Ludwig II gives permission to move the "Royal Lodge" about 200 meters to its present location.
1885/00/00 Work is begun to widened and extend the bedroom which requires the extensive rebuilding of the palace and a new central section for the north facade. King Ludwig II will not live to see the completion of the new bedroom.
