1868/08/27 Col Richard Dunbar drinks water from a natural spring at 560 Dunbar Ave, Waukesha, WI, owned by his sister-in-law Elizabeth Carney. Dundar will buy the lot and start the Bethesda Spring Water company, named after the Biblical pool of Bethesda.
1891/00/00 An ornate springhouse is built to protect Bethesda Spring. It was razed in 1949 and replaced by the present concrete block structure.
1895/00/00 The number of tourist taking the waters Waukesha reaches its peak. A new oak tree has since been planted and marked by a plaque at the site where Col Richard Dunbar rested and drank the spring water.
