1692/00/00 Stephanus Van Cortlandt Home Stephanus Van Cortlandt buys a tract of land "Commonly called and known by the Indian Name Saghtekoos and by the Christians called Apple-tree Neck".
1697/06/02 Stephanus Van Cortlandt Owner Governor Benjamin Fletcher gives "Saghtekoos Manour, or Appletree Neck Wicke", a 8 mile long and a few 100 feet wide land patent, to Stephen Van Cortlandt.
1697/07/00 The Sagtikos Manor was built by Stephanus Van Cortlandt, probably, to validate his patent claim.
1706/00/00 Gertruj Schuyler van Cortlandt Seller Timothy Carll buys Sagtikos Manor from the widow and son of Stephanus Van Cortlandt. The Carll family will farm the land until 1758.
1758/00/00 On horse back, Jonathan Thompson of Setauket arrives with two saddlebags full of money and pays 1,200 English pounds for 1200 acres. Issac Thompson, Jonathan's 15 year old, is sent to Sagtikos Manor to learn land management from the Indians.

1894/00/00 Frederick Diodoti Thompson Home Isaac Thompson's great grandson, Frederick Diodoti Thompson, buys out all the other heirs and becomes the sole owner of the 1,200 acre Sagtikos Manor.
