1830/00/00 Deacon Samuel Adams Work Josiah Bent sells his bakery business to his son-in-law, Deacon Samuel Adams, and his son Samuel T Bent.
1837/00/00 Deacon Samuel Adams Work From 1837 to 1871, Deacon Adams begins operating his bakery as a sole proprietor.
1871/00/00 Deacon Adams leases the business to Samuel T Bent, Horatio Webster, John A Shaw, George A Fletcher and William H Balcom.

1891/00/00 George H Bent, the grandson of Josiah Bent, erects the current Bent's cookie building at 7 Pleasant Street. The storefront is located on the street level while baking operations occur on the top two levels of the factory.
1892/06/00 George H Bent, son of Samuel T, after many years service with Bent and Co, begins the manufacture of the G H Bent and Co water cracker.
