1935/00/00 Sidney Franklin Latimer III pays a man from West Bay, $50 to cut, strip, notch and haul enough cypress logs to build a cabin. Over the next few months Frank Arnold, Aubrey Skipper, Cecil Howell and Ruth and Ed Sanders help Latimer build a cabin.
1940/00/00 Weather permitting, the Latimer family take a boat across the lake to the beach, play in the shallows of Phillips Inlet, fish, body surf in the inlet and Gulf or stroll the deserted beach. The evening meal is usually fish and crabs.
