1804/07/04 Concord Artillery hold its first parade.
1814/09/10 Concord Artillery, the Concord Light Infantry and the Acton Blues march to Boston, remaining until October 30. Until 1861, Concord Artillery saw no military action, engaging mainly in drills and musters, ceremonies and salutes, and many parades.
1887/00/00 John Henry Chapman Architect Front, or headhouse, of the Concord Armory is built. Principal builder of the armory was Andrew S Lowden, a carpenter from Nova Scotia who had already put up many houses at Concord. The cost to the town of the building and land was $6,730.87.
1922/00/00 Clarence H Blackall Architect Stage built for the Concord Players is remarkably intact. A rare example of a surviving all-wood stage, it is reported to be a smaller replica of the Colonial Theater, Boston. Scene dock, added in 1927, preserves the 1922 exterior shingles.
1923/03/00 Booth Tarkington Playwright Spring 1923, the Players stage Booth Tarkington's "Clarence". The title role is played by US tennis champ William T Tilden II. Known as the John Barrymore of the courts for his histrionics during matches, his performance at the Players is well received.
1927/00/00 Harry Little (Architect) Architect The scene dock east of the stage is added to a design by Concord architect, Harry Little. Two other Concord Players, Hans Miller (son-in-law of Clarence Blackall) and Harold Orendorff, supervised and executed most of the construction.
