Adelie Land
Home of the Emperor Penguin
Adelie Land, a long thin pie shaped slice of Antarctica, is home to a French research research station, Dumont d'Urville Station, but is best known as the filming location of the 2005 documentary, March of the Penguins. France claims Adelie Land as a district of the TAAF (French Southern and Antarctic Lands), but most governments do not recognize it as a French dependency. - AsNotedIn
