1898/00/00 William Young Architect Construction of the War Office building is begun in 1898 by William Young as the 2nd of the large government office blocks begun in 1898.
1907/00/00 Clyde Young Architect After the death of William Young in 1901, the War Office building is completed by William Young's son Clyde Young and Sir John Taylor.
1910/00/00 Henry Wilson becomes Director of Military Operations at the British War Office.
1915/05/25 David Lloyd George Prime Minister Lloyd George becomes Minister of Munitions, leaving office 9 July 1916.
