Milestone Marker 6 is a slate marker in the Allston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Although many markers were erected in the colonial era to provide information along established routes used by the postal system, the Allston marker was not installed along any of the established post roads. The stone marks the distance to the Old State House at 206 Washington Street by traveling through Roxbury along Boston Neck via Orange Street and Newbury Street (roughly Washington Street). The colonial era post was restored in 2012 and 2015. - AsNotedIn
