1763/11/18 Leopold Mozart arrives in Paris with his two child prodigies: Maria-Anna, known as Nannerl, aged 12, and the young Wolfgang, aged 7.
1763/12/00 Supporting Leopold's aspirations of performing at the Court of Versailles, they were introduced by Friedrich Melchior Baron von Grimm. Grimm publishes a highly supportive article on the Mozart children in his Correspondance litteraire.
1763/12/15 After playing for Louis XV and his mistress, Mozart wants to give Mme de Pompadour a kiss but the Marquise refuses. Wolgang is offended for he has already kissed Empress Maria Theresa. 1763/12/15 In mid-December, Louis XV and Mme de Pompadour receive the Mozart trio. Leopold finds the Marquise very beautiful but extremely proud, and feels that she seems to consider herself an empress. Wolfgang whispers to his dad that she looks like their cook. 1763/12/24 Across from the palace, the Mozart family take lodging in the Hotel du Cormier in Versailles (no 6 on the current Rue du Peintre Lebrun).
1764/01/01 The Mozart family are invited to attend the King's Royal Table. Wolfgang stands next to Queen Marie Leszczynska, Leopold is near the king, and Nannerl is between the Dauphin and Madame Adelaide. The queen, who speaks German, acts as interpreter.
