The Beezer Brothers were an American architectural partnership established by twin brothers Louis and Michael Beezer, who began working together in 1892 while based in Pennsylvania. There they designed numerous residential, commercial, and institutional buildings before relocating their practice to Seattle in 1907, where they remained active for decades. In 1923 Louis opened a San Francisco branch, extending the firm's reach along the West Coast. Devout Roman Catholics, the Beezers became known for their extensive work for the Church, producing churches, schools, and rectories that reflected both traditional craftsmanship and early twentieth-century architectural trends. Among their Pennsylvania commissions was Elhurst in Loretto, the summer home of the prominent Thaw family — whose notoriety grew after Harry K Thaw, husband of Evelyn Nesbit, shot architect Stanford White in one of the most sensational criminal cases of the early twentieth century. - AsNotedIn
