1805/00/00 Margaret Parker, daughter of John Parker of Stony Point, marries David Bryan of nearby Gave Place. Groom Cave Place Lexington, KY
1821/00/00 David Bryan builds Cave Place on 385 acres of Colonel Abraham Bowman's original 8000-acre land grant on the South Elkhorn Creek. Bryan named it for the large cave on the property which was used to store food during the summer months. Architect Cave Place Lexington, KY
1825/09/00 Colonel Bowman appoints his stepson David Bryan as one of the executors of his estate and bequeaths to him a slave "in addition to what I have already given him." Presumably, Bowman had already given Bryan a portion of the 8000 acre tract. Life Cave Place Lexington, KY
