Eleanor "Ellen" Newton Winslow was an early member of the Plymouth Colony. She married John Adams in 1625, a distant kinsman of US President John Adams through their shared ancestor John Adams of Barton St David, Somerset. Widowed in 1633, she wed Kenelm Winslow in June 1634, the brother of Edward Winslow of the Mayflower, and settles at Marshfield, where she is later memorialized among the town's first settlers. - AsNotedIn
