Susannah Mould White
Connecticut Colony
Born in New London in the Connecticut Colony, Susannah Mould White was the daughter of Hugh Mould, a prominent colonial shipbuilder, and Martha Coit. She married Ensign Daniel White of Middletown, forming a close family alliance in which her sister Mary married Daniel's brother, Joseph White. After Hugh Mould's death, Susannah's widowed mother Martha married the brothers' father, Captain Nathaniel White, further intertwining the two families. Susannah and Daniel raised eleven children, their household rooted in the Upper Houses section of Middletown (now Cromwell). She died at age ninety-one and is buried in the Old Burying Ground in Cromwell, her grave marked by a classic Puritan headstone. - AsNotedIn
