Camino Real de Tierra Adentro is an international overland route that links Mexico City to Santa Fe, New Mexico — both once part of New Spain — via Valle de Allende in northern Mexico. The inscribed UNESCO property covers 55 component sites and five existing World Heritage cities along a 1,400 km section of this 2,600 km route in central Mexico. Although the historic road continues north into Texas and New Mexico, the US portion does not contain any World Heritage Sites. - AsNotedIn
