1665/00/00 The future Lincoln Elm begins growing. After succumbing to Dutch Elm disease, the tree is cut down in 1980. Tree ring dating indicates it to be 315 years old.
1893/00/00 Veterans' memorial fountain, Boy in Blue, is erected in 1892-93. The bronze depicts a Union soldier stands at parade rest on a cast-iron edestal on a stone catch-basin.
