Casa da Musica is a celebrated concert hall and a notable work of contemporary architecture in Porto, Portugal. Designed by Rem Koolhaas, its striking beveled form has become a modern symbol of the city and a center for concerts, cultural events, and musical education. The main auditorium, Sala Suggia, seats 1,238 guests and features corrugated glass walls at opposite ends, providing natural light while visually linking performances to the surrounding cityscape. Sala 2 is a highly adaptable secondary venue accommodating between 270 and 650 people for chamber ensembles, jazz performances, and experimental electronic music. Added in 2007, the Digitopia digital hub connects the community with electronic music creation, sound art, and digital composition. - AsNotedIn
