The Entrance Arch From Cadogan Square leading into Shafto Mews is a circa-1880 structure built as a semi-circular red-brick archway with stone dressings and copings. The brickwork is rusticated, giving the opening a heavier, worked profile suited to late-Victorian estate development. The arch is framed by pilasters carrying a stone entablature, above which rises a Dutch gable, the most distinctive element of the composition. On either side, channelled brick walls extend outward as flanking pavilions, forming a controlled gateway between the formal square and the service mews behind it.
