Although no physical remains of the fort are known to survive, the approximate location of the original stockaded compound is recognized for its historical significance. The designated historic area covers approximately 0.6 hectares and includes a public park, nearby commercial buildings and parking areas.

A commemorative cairn erected by the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada stands a short distance from the former fort location, on the bank of the Fraser River at the corner of Wallace and Walter Streets.
