The UFA Cinema Center in Dresden, Germany, is a multifunctional cultural complex designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au, composed of two interlinked volumes: the Cinema Block, containing eight theaters with seating for roughly 2,600 viewers, and the Crystal, a faceted glass shell that serves as foyer and public square. Inside, circulation unfolds through a dramatic system of free-floating stairs, bridges, ramps, and platforms, allowing visitors to glimpse one another through shifting layers of light and color.
