The Old Cock Inn is a Grade II listed public house in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire. Built in 1712, the two-storey tavern presents an unusual Gothick composition with roughcast walls, stone-mullioned windows with trefoiled heads, and an early-19th-century doorcase. A covered arched gateway on the right is crowned by a grotesque human head with a toad issuing from its mouth, popularly said to caricature Judge Jeffreys. The building incorporates medieval fragments, including a large Decorated-tracery window and carved stone heads salvaged from the demolished church of St Nicholas. Today the inn serves cask beer, English food and a traditional Sunday roast. - AsNotedIn
