Resolutions of Sacrifice and Faith

The War Memorial in Edgware, England, is a stone cross erected as a memorial to the soldiers from the area who died fighting in the First World War. The tall Celtic cross of hammer-dressed grey Cornish granite is set on a three-stage base ringed by nine granite dwarf posts. The names of the fallen are set out year by year on the north and south faces, the foot of the cross carries the quiet charge "FOR REMEMBRANCE." The base bears further inscriptions on all four sides: "Let us here highly resolve that these heroic dead shall not have died in vain," "Greater love hath no man than this," and "He that loseth his life for my sake shall find it."

A pair of K6 Telephone Kiosks are located just north of the memorial at the intersection of High Street and High Street. Designed 1935 by Giles G Scott, the cast iron telephone booths are topped with sophisticated domed roofs.
