1833/11/00 Four months after the marriage, Eliza Jumel Burr files for divorce and hires Alexander Hamilton Jr as one of her divorce attorneys.
1836/09/14 Aaron Burr dies in a boardinghouse (later to be known as the St James Hotel) in the village of Port Richmond on Staten Island. On the same day, his divorce is granted by Judge Philo T Ruggles. Burr is buried near his father in Princeton, New Jersey.
