Midnight Cowboy is a 1969 American feature film by director John Schlesinger, based on a 1965 novel, Midnight Cowboy, by James Leo Herlihy. Joe Buck (Jon Voight) is a Texas cowboy trying to make it as a male prostitute in New York City. Enrico Salvatore Ratso Rizzo (Dustin Hoffman) is a street hustler who is helping him along.
