London, View of the Thames in the Evening is a 1926 oil painting by Oskar Kokoschka which depicts a brilliant yellow sun setting over Westminster with the Waterloo Bridge in the foreground. Between 10 March and 28 April 1928, Senor Kokoschka rented a room on the eighth floor of the Savoy Hotel, Strand, London. He created various paintings of views looking up and down the River Thames.
London, View of the Thames in the Evening is held in a private collection. Oskar Kokoschka's View of the Thames 1959 is owned by London's Tate Gallery, but it is not on display either. - AsNotedIn
