Charles C Duff

Charles C Duff was an American grocer, wholesaler, Civil War veteran and the Uncle of painter Frederick Carl Frieseke. In 1865, he moved to Owosso and worked in his brother-in-law, Matthias Stewart's, grocery store for five years before starting his own grocery business where he packaged coffees and teas under his own label. Mr Duff was the choir master at the Congregational Church for almost thirty years. It was said of him that he was a supporter of any endeavor that could help make Owosso a better place. - AsNotedIn
