Henry McCleary
American
Henry McCleary was a lumberman, industrialist and entrepreneur whose timber enterprises helped shape the economy of western Washington. After arriving in Washington from Ohio in 1890, he founded the McCleary Timber Company, developed extensive logging and milling operations, and established the company town that became McCleary, Washington. His businesses included what was promoted as one of the world's largest door factories, and company records credit the firm with pioneering the veneer door. - AsNotedIn
