German Fairy Tale Route



German Fairy Tale Route, a 600 km (370 mi) course through northwest Germany, was created in 1975 to highlight places that contribute to Germany's short stories. Sites include:

Alsfeld with the House of Little Red Riding Hood (Rotkappchenhaus)
Bremen, almost the location of Grimm's Town Musicians of Bremen
Ebergotzen, the Wilhelm Busch Mill from the Max and Moritz
Hamelin, setting for The Pied Piper
Hanau, national memorial to the Brothers Grimm
Landgraves' 14th century Castle
Sababurg, Sleeping Beauty's Castle
Philippsruhe Palace in Hanau
Schonburg Castle
Schwalmstadt's Witches' Tower (Hexenturm)
Steinau's Brothers Grimm House (Bruder Grimm-Haus)
Trendelburg castle
Reinhardswald forest
