Battle of Richmond Historic Areas

The Battle of Richmond Historic Areas listed in the National Register of Historic Places consist of two separate areas on Battlefield Memorial Highway, formally Big Hill Road: Battle of Richmond Visitor Center and Battlefield Park. An additional site, Woodlawn, does not contain historical elements from the battle setting. Pre-Civil War buildings within the historic areas include the Joseph Barnett-Herndon House at Battlefield Park, Mt Zion Church and the Palmer House, now the clubhouse for the Battlefield Golf Course. - AsNotedIn
