The Nova Building, London
- English National Heritage: Sutton House
- Address: 79 Buckingham Palace Rd
- Neighborhood of Westminster in London
The Nova Building is a 2017 mixed-use development criticized for a style exemplifying the the bright red prows that adorn various points of the exterior like the inflamed protruding breasts of demented preening cockerels.
Sutton House was a Grade II English Listed Building at 158 Victoria Street designated for its striking and well-detailed Moderne facade and good, intact shop front, and wealth of interior fittings, including the privacy booths in the rear, which were rare. Also of special historic interest was that T M Suttons Ltd was a purpose-built inter-war pawnbroker's shop and pledge offices, and the premises of one of London's oldest pawnbrokers which became a high-class international establishment in the early-C20. Demolished c 2015, the facade and certain interiors are to be salvaged and reconstructed one block north on Allington Street. - AsNotedIn
