- Vicinity: Third rock from the sun, Solar System
Physiography or 'physical geography', (coined by William Morris Davis, the father of American Geography ) refers to the Earth's of topography shaped by the underlying geology. Location and composition of rocks tell the story of the Earth's long natural evolution. In 1946, Nevin Fenneman devised the original three level classifications (division, province, and section) of Physiography based on topography and underlining geologic structure. We've taken these generally accepted classifications and added to it. - AsNotedIn
